Blisterr wallet: everything you need to know — buyer and seller side
By Blisterr Team
The Blisterr wallet is the digital wallet integrated into the platform. It’s used to receive, hold, and use money from the marketplace — sales, refunds, referral. Its operation differs between buyer and seller. This article explains everything, no fuzz.
The wallet in two sentences
Buyer side: the wallet is credited by dispute refunds and referral rewards. You can spend it on your next Blisterr purchases.
Seller side: the wallet is credited by sale proceeds (after buyer validation or escrow window). You can withdraw it to your bank account, or use it to buy on Blisterr.
The rest of this article goes into detail on both sides.
Buyer side
How is the buyer wallet credited?
Three main sources:
- Dispute refunds. If you open a dispute (item not received, not conforming, counterfeit) and Blisterr orders a full or partial refund, the amount is credited directly to your wallet.
- Referral rewards. You refer a new member who signs up with your code and makes a first purchase — your bonus lands on the wallet.
- Commercial credits. Exceptional compensation decided by support in case of an issue.
What is it for?
The buyer wallet balance is usable as a payment method on your next Blisterr purchases, on all formats (Peek, Live, instant buy, auction). At checkout, you can pay partially or fully with your wallet balance.
Can I withdraw my buyer wallet to my bank?
Not as standard. The buyer wallet is designed to be reused on the platform, not as a savings account. This rule avoids costly round-trips between Stripe and your bank for often small amounts (a €12 refund, a €5 referral reward).
If your buyer wallet exceeds a significant threshold and you don’t plan to repurchase on Blisterr, contact support at support@blisterr.com — a case-by-case solution is studied.
Are withdrawals free on the buyer side?
The rare authorized buyer-side withdrawals are free. Only seller side does the withdrawal counter (1 free every 40 days, then 3% + €1) apply.
Seller side
How is the seller wallet credited?
One source only: the proceeds of your sales. On each completed sale (peek, live, instant buy, auction), the buyer payment transits Stripe, then lands on your Blisterr wallet via the following mechanism.
When exactly do funds arrive?
Two cases:
Case 1 — Buyer confirms reception
As soon as the buyer validates they received the order matching description, funds are released immediately on your seller wallet. No delay, no wait.
Case 2 — Buyer doesn’t react
If the buyer doesn’t confirm (the most frequent case), funds are released automatically about 3 weeks after the carrier delivery date (standard Stripe Connect window, designed to let the buyer open a dispute if needed).
During this 3-week period, funds are in escrow: they exist, they’re guaranteed for you, but you can’t use them yet. It’s the normal cost of buyer protection — it applies on Blisterr as on virtually all serious marketplaces (Stripe Connect imposes this mechanism on all users).
Case 3 — A dispute is opened
If the buyer opens a dispute (not received, not conforming, counterfeit), funds stay in escrow until the dispute is resolved. If Blisterr orders a refund, you won’t receive (or only partially) the corresponding funds.
Are Blisterr fees already deducted from the wallet?
No. The seller commission on Blisterr is 0%. You receive 100% of the listed sale price. Fees are fully borne by the buyer (6.9% + €0.49 per transaction), and deducted before the transaction on the Stripe side.
Concrete example: you sell a card at €50. Buyer pays €53.94 (50 + 6.9% + €0.49). You receive €50.00 on your wallet.
How do I withdraw my seller wallet to my bank?
From the Blisterr app, Wallet section, “Withdraw” button. You enter your IBAN (validated via Stripe Connect KYC at signup), confirm the amount, the transfer arrives in 1-3 business days.
How much does a seller withdrawal cost?
1 free withdrawal every 40 days. As long as you stick to 1 withdrawal per 40-day window, it’s free.
Beyond that, each additional withdrawal in the same 40-day window costs 3% + €1. These fees cover the Stripe cost + a marginal Blisterr margin — it’s far below the real Stripe payout cost for small amounts, and we subsidize it for regular sellers.
Practical case:
- You accumulate €800 over 40 days and make 1 withdrawal: free.
- You make 4 withdrawals of €200 over 40 days: 1st free, 3 next at 3% + €1 = €7 of fees on €600.
Tip: if possible, wait until you have a balance > €200 before withdrawing. On €600, 3 withdrawals cost ~€21. 1 withdrawal costs €0.
Can I use my seller wallet to buy on Blisterr?
Yes. Like buyer side, you can pay with your wallet balance on all formats. Many Blisterr sellers reinvest part of their sales directly in the platform (buying complementary cards, stock for live, etc.) — encouraged and free.
Wallet security
Where are my funds stored?
Wallet funds are not stored on Blisterr servers. They’re held by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland), payment service provider (PSP) licensed by the Central Bank of Ireland. Your funds benefit from European regulatory protections applicable to PSPs (fund segregation, banking guarantees).
What happens if Blisterr disappears?
Wallet funds belong to your Stripe Connect account. In case of an incident on the Blisterr side, withdrawal remains possible via Stripe directly, on joint Blisterr / Stripe instruction. It’s one of the structural advantages of an independent PSP.
Is my IBAN stored at Blisterr?
No. Blisterr stores no banking data. Your IBAN is held at Stripe Connect, in your secure dashboard. Blisterr only sees an opaque identifier.
Tax on the seller side
For occasional sellers (annual revenue < €3,000 per item): capital gains exemption on furniture sales (category applicable to TCG cards).
For regular sellers (annual revenue > €3,000 or habitual activity): BIC tax filing, micro-entrepreneur regime possible if turnover < €188,700.
Since 2024, Blisterr automatically reports to the French (and European cross-border) tax administration seller incomes exceeding €2,000 in revenue or 30 transactions per year (DAC7 directive). You receive your annual summary by email each year.

FAQ
Does the wallet balance earn interest? No, it’s a digital current account, not a savings account.
Does my wallet have a cap? No Blisterr cap. Standard Stripe Connect caps apply (very high, irrelevant for individual collectors).
Can I transfer my wallet balance to another Blisterr user? No. The wallet is strictly personal.
What if my withdrawal doesn’t arrive at my bank? First check the status in the app (in progress, validated, failed). If status is “validated” for more than 3 business days without bank reception, contact support@blisterr.com with the withdrawal number.
Does my wallet expire if my account is inactive? No. Positive balances are kept as long as the account isn’t deleted. Per European regulation, after 24 months of inactivity, maintenance fees may apply to remaining balances — Blisterr notifies you 90 days in advance.
